Many first-timers jumped right in and quickly became pros!

• Animal intake & release: Paty, Monika, Coco & Terri
• Recovery team: Karen, Patricia, Mary Nell, Monika & Sandra welcomed Lynn, Marianne, Charlotte & Mame
• Animal prep & handling: Vicki assisted in both recovery and prep, while Brendan (who brought his rescue cat Chai!) teamed up with Paul on Saturday and Brett on Sunday for the heavy lifting.
  Special thanks to Charity Palmatier, who even organized volunteers from her cruise ship in Europe — now that’s dedication!

🌅 Early Birds & Helping Hands

People began arriving as early as 5:30 a.m. Saturday and were lined up again Sunday. Four strong volunteers from the line helped move crates, tables & chairs so registration could start early — teamwork at its best!

☕ Community Kindness

We were spoiled with treats and generosity:

• Cold sodas, ground coffee (re-gifted to our coffee-loving vet Leslie ☕), and a 5-liter jug of drinking water.
• Octava Café delivered warm quiches on Saturday.
• Parota Grill provided Sunday lunch — spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread — fueling our team through two long, rewarding days.

🏫 Our Gracious Hosts

Deep gratitude to Preescolar Cri Cri for welcoming us into their beautiful facility. The large grounds, enclosed surgery & recovery rooms, and cool kitchen space created an ideal setting. Director Eva, teachers & students — thank you! We hope to return.
