PEACEAnimals had a very busy week at the sterilization clinic in Valle Esmeralda. It has been almost a year since we have served this rapidly-growing community, therefore there were long lines of people waiting from the early hours to have their cats and dogs treated. Sacnicte and Alex hosted the clinic in their home, and sponsored the clinic with a generous personal donation, as well. They are proactively working in the community to prevent pet overpopulation and neglect as this area grows, new units are being constructed and new residents are moving-in with their pets. We had an amazing crew of volunteers this week Dyan, Denise, and Oscar. Manuel and Lluvia from AZPER Guardians de la Vida returned this week to help along with their young son, they are very experienced and very helpful. Manuel brought his power-washer and gave all of our cages a deep cleaning. We have an open invitation, and look forward to returning to Valle Esmeralda soon.
