243 Animals Sterilized in San Vicente: A Community United for Animal Welfare ❤️🐾

At PEACEAnimals, every clinic is a reminder of what we can accomplish when a community comes together with compassion, dedication, and a shared commitment to animal welfare.

We are thrilled to share that our recent free spay and neuter clinic in San Vicente resulted in 243 animals sterilized! This was our second clinic in San Vicente this year, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible.

🐾 243 Animals. One Shared Mission.

Thanks to the tireless work of our veterinary team, the generosity of our volunteers, and the support of the local community, we were able to provide essential veterinary care to hundreds of pets.

Here is the breakdown of the animals sterilized:

• 65 female dogs
• 25 male dogs
• 93 female cats
• 60 male cats

Each surgery represents a meaningful step toward preventing unwanted litters, reducing animal suffering, and building healthier communities for animals and people alike.

🩺 Our Incredible Veterinary Team

A heartfelt thank-you goes to our outstanding veterinarians, Anthony, Pacheco, and Leslie, who worked tirelessly throughout the clinic to perform all 243 surgeries.

Our veterinary team arrived on time and ready to care for every patient, helping pet owners access essential services for their beloved companions. Their professionalism, commitment, and compassion are at the heart of our mission.

We are incredibly fortunate to work alongside veterinarians who dedicate their time and expertise to making a lasting difference in animal welfare.

💙 A Special Thank-You to Mireya and Our Volunteers

Behind every successful clinic is a team of people who work hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. In San Vicente, our volunteers, led by Mireya, went above and beyond to support the veterinary team and the community.

Mireya and her team prepared the clinic space, cleaned the facilities, and even installed a temporary air-conditioning unit so our doctors could perform surgeries in more comfortable conditions. She also generously provided meals for the entire team.

Her dedication made a tremendous difference, and we are deeply grateful for her kindness and commitment.

Nine Years of Compassion and Community

Mireya’s connection with PEACEAnimals goes back nine years, when she first approached our organization, fell in love with our mission, and decided to continue helping.

Over the years, she became much more than a volunteer. Back when PEACEAnimals organized as many as four clinics per month, Mireya helped arrange clinics in Altavela, playing an important role in bringing veterinary services to more communities.

She also fondly remembers adopting a little kitten at one of our clinics and naming her Kalimba.

Her story is a beautiful example of how animal welfare organizations can inspire lasting connections. What begins as a desire to help can grow into years of service, meaningful friendships, and the joy of welcoming a rescued animal into one’s family.

Mireya’s journey reminds us that our work is about more than surgeries. It is about creating opportunities for people to get involved, strengthening communities, and inspiring compassion that lasts.

🌎 Our Vision: Reaching More Communities

The success of our San Vicente clinic reinforces our desire to expand our reach and return to organizing more clinics throughout Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta.

We know that many communities still need access to free spay and neuter services. By increasing the number of clinics and reaching more locations, we can help prevent animal overpopulation, reduce suffering, and support families who want to care responsibly for their pets.

Our goal is ambitious, but we know what is possible when veterinarians, volunteers, donors, and community members work together.

To make this vision a reality, we need your help.

Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness brings us one step closer to reaching more animals in need.
